Join us this November!
Together with other designers, you'll learn React and Framer X, build nifty prototypes, apply it to your own work, and win cool prizes!
I call this React + Framer Challenge. It's a one-of-a-kind workshop that gives you the kick you need.
It's designed with your busy schedule in mind. You wouldn't have to block off days for learning and worry about getting behind on your work. Just continue with your busy life, but take a break from Netflix for a month (or video games, youtube spirals or social media). Your future self will thank you!
It's practical and hands-on. You are encouraged to apply what you'd learn to your own work as soon as possible. So it wouldn't be carving time out of your work, it'd be actually counted as the work. Hit two birds with one stone!
You'll learn with your peers in a friendly and engaging environment. Have a question? Chances are that another challenger has a quick answer!
What do you think? Join us and make this November your most productive month ever for learning!
React + Framer Challenge is a great way to get started on coding as a designer. I'll carefully selected JS/React topics that are necessary for your daily work, and teach in a visual way to help you understand and remember. The direct goal is to build cool micro interactions and prototypes. The content is curated and tailored for you and only you, designers!
Programming experience is NOT required to enter this challenge. Experience in HTML/CSS will be helpful but you don't need to be an expert.
There are 5 sample projects and 11 assignments. Each of them covers an aspect of the necessary knowledge that you'd need to build your own prototypes. Here are just some examples:
You'll be required to submit a final project. Here are some submissions from previous students.
Roughly 1 hour per day for 4 weeks. But of course, the more time you invest in, the more you'll learn, and the more likely you'd win the awards!
I want you to be serious about it and really invest the effort and time to learn. Squeeze some time from playing games or watching TVs. Your future self will thank you!
Registration is closed, sorry! 😢 You can enroll in the self-paced course, which includes the content covered in the challenge and more.
Also, I might offer similar events in the near future. Enter your email to join the waiting list:
A submission includes:
We’ll select winners based on the combination of: popularity, aesthetics, creativity and most importantly, how effectively the course materials are applied.
There's no limitation of what type of app you'd design. It's really about how you put together what you've learned in a great package and show it to the world.
It's up to you whether to use Framer X or not. Framer API is a requirement since that's something I've spent most of my time in the course videos.
Ideally, select something that you need to build at your work. Hit two birds with one stone!

I'm not a lawyer. I wrote the terms below to my best ability but there mostly likely are mistakes or inaccuracies. I believe that we will all act on good will and everything will go fine 🤞. As a teacher, I’d like to help you learn as much as you could, and create your best work throughout the program. That's all!
